Understanding your sleep cycle

A night’s sleep moves through three phases, repeating in cycles. Each is disrupted by different things - which is why Cibdol Sleep is split into Fall Asleep, Stay Asleep and Complete Sleep rather than one single product.

Typical Sleep Cycle

Typical sleep cycle diagram: phase A falling asleep, phase B deep sleep, phase C REM sleep, across 8 hours

General sleep-science background, not a description of what any single Cibdol product does.

Do’s and don’ts for an evening routine

Do’s
Keep a consistent bedtime and wake time, even on weekends.
Make the bedroom dark, quiet and cool (16-18 °C).
Wind down for 30 to 60 minutes before bed: dim lights, read, stretch.
Get daylight exposure in the first hour after waking.
Finish vigorous exercise at least 3 to 4 hours before sleep.
Don’ts
Avoid screens for at least 30 minutes before bed.
Don’t consume caffeine after early afternoon.
Avoid heavy meals or alcohol close to bedtime.
Don’t nap longer than 20 minutes or after 3 pm.

About Cibdol Sleep

No matter your hobbies, work schedule or commitments, there is one process we all depend on: sleep. A restful night doesn’t just help you make sense of the day - it gives your mind and body the downtime they need to recover.

Cibdol Sleep is built around CBD and CBN, two cannabinoids from hemp. Your body has its own signalling network for cannabinoids - the endocannabinoid system, which includes CB1 and CB2 receptors present throughout the body. Research into how plant cannabinoids interact with that system, including in relation to sleep, is ongoing and still at an early stage.

Fall Asleep pairs CBD with melatonin, a hormone your body produces itself, available as a liposomal liquid or a hardcap capsule. Stay Asleep is a capsule with CBD, CBN, hops and griffonia intended to support you across the night, and Complete Sleep combines CBN, CBD, chamomile and lavender in an MCT oil base, held under the tongue for 60 seconds before bed.

The Cibdol evening range holds four products, two liquids and two capsule packs. Two contain melatonin, two do not. The Fall Asleep family covers two of them, a 30 ml liposomal liquid you measure with the pipette, known to returning customers by the older name Meladol, and a pack of 30 capsules you swallow whole. Next to them sit two melatonin-free products, Stay Asleep Capsules and Complete Sleep. Choosing is a question of format, of the composition around the actives, and of timing. Working with cannabinoids since 2014.

Choosing by format and composition

The first question is melatonin. Two of the four contain it, two do not.

If melatonin is wanted, the next question is dosing. With Fall Asleep (Meladol), a 30 ml pipette bottle, you measure the amount yourself. With Fall Asleep Capsules, one capsule is the daily dose. Both formulations list the same two active substances, CBD and melatonin, in the same amounts per daily dose on the EN/EU serving, and the composition around them differs. The liquid uses soy lecithin and contains ethanol 2.3 vol.%, plus vitamin B6 and terpenes; the capsule uses sunflower lecithin, with no alcohol, no B6 and no terpenes. Timing differs too, 30 minutes before bedtime for the liquid and 1 to 2 hours before for the capsules. Neither format is better in general.

Without melatonin, Stay Asleep Capsules combine CBD, CBN, hops extract and griffonia extract, and Complete Sleep is a liquid with CBN, CBD, chamomile and lavender.

What is in each product

Fall Asleep (Meladol), liposomal liquid, per 1 ml (EN/EU serving): 1.5 mg melatonin, 2.5 mg cannabinoids, 0.3 mg terpenes, 0.7 mg B6; soy lecithin liposome, ethanol 2.3 vol.%, soy declared. Fall Asleep Capsules, per capsule: 1.5 mg melatonin, 2.5 mg cannabidiol, liposomal, sunflower lecithin, HPMC shell. Stay Asleep Capsules, per hardcap: 12.5 mg CBD, 12.5 mg CBN, 50 mg hops extract, 167 mg griffonia extract (30% 5-HTP). Complete Sleep lists MCT oil, hemp extract, chamomile and lavender extract, no documented amounts. The other three declare no allergen.

Every batch is independently tested for cannabinoid content and purity; certificates sit with the batch number in the batch certificate lookup tool.

Timing and how to take

With Fall Asleep (Meladol), you measure the dose with the pipette and take it 30 minutes before bedtime, in the mouth or in water or juice. Fall Asleep Capsules are taken 1 to 2 hours before bedtime with water or fruit juice, and not chewed. Stay Asleep Capsules, 1 hardcap as the daily dose, 30 minutes before sleep. Complete Sleep, shaken well, 1 ml held under the tongue for 60 seconds and swallowed, 30 minutes before sleep. Each pack holds 30 servings on the EN/EU serving.

Evening range and CBD oils

The evening range is hemp extract combined with melatonin or with other botanicals. For hemp extract on its own, without melatonin, the plain oils sit in the CBD oil range. Within the evening range, Stay Asleep Capsules and Complete Sleep are the melatonin-free options. The same independent batch testing runs across both ranges. Working with cannabinoids since 2014.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which Cibdol Sleep products contain melatonin, and which ones don't?

Two of the four contain melatonin, the 30 ml Fall Asleep (Meladol) liquid and Fall Asleep Capsules, each at 1.5 mg per daily dose on the EN/EU serving. Stay Asleep Capsules and Complete Sleep contain no melatonin; they are built around hemp extract and botanical extracts.

What does liposomal actually mean on the Meladol bottle?

Liposomal describes the composition, not an effect. In the Fall Asleep (Meladol) liquid, soy lecithin forms the liposome that carries the ingredients, which is why soy appears as an allergen. The capsule version uses sunflower lecithin instead, so there is no declarable allergen.

Should I choose an oil or a capsule?

For the melatonin pair, the liquid and the capsule list the same two actives in equal daily amounts. You measure the liquid yourself, 30 minutes before bedtime; the capsule is one daily dose, 1 to 2 hours before. The liquid holds soy lecithin, ethanol, B6 and terpenes, the capsule sunflower lecithin. Neither is better.

What is on the ingredient list for the two melatonin-free formulas?

Stay Asleep Capsules list 12.5 mg CBD, 12.5 mg CBN, 50 mg hops extract and 167 mg griffonia extract (30% 5-HTP) per hardcap, in an HPMC shell. Complete Sleep lists MCT oil, hemp extract, chamomile extract and lavender extract; per-dose milligram amounts are not documented, so none are given. Neither contains melatonin.

Are Cibdol Sleep products third-party tested?

Yes. Every batch of every product is tested independently for cannabinoid content and purity. Look up the certificate with the batch number printed on your pack, using the batch certificate lookup tool linked above. Certificates live in that tool rather than in this text.
