Tested and analysed

According to the opinion of many users, CBD is worth its weight in gold. Unfortunately, too many people over the years have gone through disappointing experiences with hemp oils or extracts that didn’t contain what they were supposed to. In the worst cases, the products were either completely ineffective, or even contaminated with harmful substances.

What’s inside your CBD oil?

The CBD industry is set to normalise and standardise its market offers sooner rather than later, and some serious producers can already guarantee the content of their extracts. Nevertheless, most manufacturers still rely on consolidated methods for maximising production, instead of preserving the natural healing phytocomplex contained in hemp flowers.

Furthermore, just like veggies and fruit, hemp flowers and stems used for extracting cannabinoids and terpenes may contain pesticides, herbicides, mould, and other organic or inorganic toxins. And just like veggies, nature doesn’t create all plants in a field equal. The concentration of cannabinoids, terpenes, antioxidants, and other substances in the typical cannabis phytocomplex can vary tremendously. It is one of the extractor’s duties to select the best raw material and make the final product consistent over time.

Manufacturers and laboratories working toward CBD oil quality

A strict collaboration between the manufacturer of any phytotherapeutic remedies and a qualified analysis laboratory is necessary to guarantee customers that their CBD oil will be totally safe and effective. This same loyal collaboration between independent business entities is what will also support research and product innovation. Over the years, Cibdol has cultivated a deep knowledge of hemp processing and cannabinoid extraction, proudly owning a proprietary CBD extraction process without the use of chemicals. Both our competence and our methods are now evolving further, thanks in part to our collaboration with Fundación CANNA.

When speaking about cannabis science and lab testing in Europe, Fundación CANNA immediately comes to mind as an acknowledged authority. This non-profit initiative carries out research on cannabis and its active compounds using state-of-the-art technologies, contributing to the development of a healthy and transparent medical cannabis industry. Cibdol specialists are now sharing their knowledge of processing and extraction with researchers at Fundación CANNA to help frequently perform any kind of biochemical test required by Cibdol’s food-grade products.

Assuring product quality, consistency, and efficacy

According to our agreements with raw material providers, the plants used for Cibdol CBD oil are grown without pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and chemical fertilisers. We also require the soil itself to be tested for eventual agricultural or industrial contamination. High concentrations of even just one of these chemical substances, as well as bacteria or mould, can cause significant side effects. It is both our and Fundación CANNA’s duty to test all of our batches before marketing Cibdol CBD oil.

Each batch of raw material or concentrated extract is tested using the latest technologies. Fundación CANNA certifies the accurate concentration of CBD as listed on our product label, the absence of biological contaminants and heavy metals, as well as the presence of specific terpenes and cannabinoids. Microbiological tests are also performed to rule-out the presence of any bacteria. The oil used as a solvent is food-grade organic, and lab tested as well.

All analyses performed by Fundación CANNA on Cibdol’s products comply with current regulations in the European Union and Switzerland, and are part of our Good Manufacturing Practices. This collaboration with a specialised laboratory also helps our research department in developing the best repeatable production processes all the way from cultivation to delivery of our finished products. All analysis results certified by Fundación CANNA are available on our website. Cibdol is available to provide customers with any further information regarding our raw material quality, and our production and testing methods.
