Six strengths of CBD oil. One formula, running in three pairs, so the pair you land on tells you more than the number on the label. What makes it 2.0: alongside the CBD, the other prominent cannabinoids CBN, CBG, CBC and CBDa are raised and measured, over twenty times what an ordinary full spectrum oil carries, at every strength. The way you take it does not change either. Up to a few drops under the tongue once a day, per the label. What moves up the ladder is how much CBD sits in a single drop.

Choosing a strength

The first two rungs, 5% and 10%, are for anyone starting with CBD: for starters, mild complaints and mental calm. About 2 mg and about 4 mg in a drop, so any change you make stays small.

The 15% and 20% are for people who have already found their amount and want fewer drops in the count: for recovery, relaxation and nagging complaints. About 6 mg or about 8 mg per drop.

The 30% and 40% are for experienced users who already know their amount: for intensive use with severe complaints. About 12 mg and about 16 mg in a drop, and from 30% the carrier is MCT oil rather than hemp seed oil.

A higher percentage isn't automatically the right one. The useful strength is the one that keeps your amount easy to count. Rather not work it out yourself? Our strength calculator turns a few answers into a personal starting point.

What is in the bottle

Full spectrum 2.0 keeps the whole extract: terpenes, flavonoids and the four other prominent cannabinoids CBN, CBG, CBC and CBDa, raised and measured, not CBD alone. The formula was drawn up in Switzerland in 2021 and hasn't changed since. EU hemp, ISO 22000 and GMP, and Cibdol has worked with cannabinoids since 2014. Up to 20% the base is hemp seed oil; at 30% and 40% it's MCT oil, which the heavier extract load calls for. Every batch goes to the independent laboratory IFHA, and the certificate for your bottle sits in the batch certificate lookup. Four of the oils stand side by side on our 2.0 page.

How to take the drops

Up to a few drops under the tongue once a day, per the label. Hold them there for 60 seconds, then swallow. Same on all six strengths, at a fixed time of day. The Food Standards Agency advises healthy adults to keep CBD from food to 10 mg a day, so check what one drop of your strength carries. CBD isn't for under-18s, for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, or for anyone on medication. Our supply planner shows how long a bottle lasts at the count you have in mind.

Drops or pre-portioned capsules

With oil you count drops, and the count changes one drop at a time. If you'd rather have the amount fixed before you open the pack, our CBD capsules come pre-portioned. We also make CBG oil and CBN oil, ranges built around a single cannabinoid, which is a different idea from the six full spectrum oils on this page.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which CBD oil strength should I choose?

Work back from what you want in one drop. The 5% and 10% carry about 2 mg and 4 mg, so changes stay small. The 15% and 20% carry about 6 mg and 8 mg. The 30% and 40%, about 12 mg and 16 mg, are for people who already know their amount.

What does the percentage on the bottle mean?

It is how much CBD the oil holds, and it sets what a single drop carries, about 2 mg at 5% and about 16 mg at 40%. Every bottle holds 10 ml with the same glass pipette, so the percentage also fixes the total amount of CBD in the bottle.

How do I take CBD oil?

Up to a few drops under the tongue once a day, per the label, held for 60 seconds before you swallow. Same on all six strengths. The Food Standards Agency advises healthy adults to keep CBD from food to 10 mg a day, so check what one drop of your strength carries.

Who makes and checks these oils?

We do. The formula was drawn up in Switzerland in 2021 and has not changed since, using EU hemp, and production runs under ISO 22000 and GMP. Every batch goes to the independent laboratory IFHA, which checks cannabinoid content and purity. Cibdol has worked with cannabinoids since 2014.

How should I store an opened bottle?

Keep the bottle upright and closed, out of direct light and away from heat. Room temperature is fine and there is no need to refrigerate it. Screw the glass pipette back in after every use, and try not to touch the tip, so nothing is carried into the oil.

Are these oils suitable for vegans?

Yes. All six oils are vegan, gluten free and made without allergens. The carriers are plant oils, hemp seed oil up to 20% and MCT oil at 30% and 40%. The extract itself is hemp, decarboxylated and not psychoactive, and the flavour of a broader extract is on the bitter side.
