Choosing between the five
The three creams line up on the same specs: 50 ml, with 100 mg CBD in each. What differs is the name printed on the pack, Aczedol, Soridol or Zemadol. The CBD Skin Oil is a different format altogether, 10 ml with 200 mg CBD. The CBD Hand Cream comes in 75 ml with 150 mg CBD, and it is the vegan formula in the range. What is in them
Aczedol, Soridol and Zemadol are registered as Medical Device Class I creams, each 50 ml holding 100 mg CBD. The CBD Skin Oil uses olive fruit oil as its base oil, and the cannabidiol in it is synthetically produced. The CBD Hand Cream is vegan, built around aloe vera and sunflower seed oil, 150 mg CBD in 75 ml. Full INCI lists are printed on the packaging. How the formats work
These are skin products and nothing more; the labels say for external use and not to be ingested. The creams come in 50 ml and the hand cream in 75 ml, so you handle them as you would any cream. Can the CBD Skin Oil and the CBD Hand Cream be part of the same day?▼
Yes. They are different formats for different areas: an oil-based leave-on cosmetic in a 10ml bottle, and a water-based cream in a 75ml tube made for hands. Both go on after cleansing, and neither replaces the other. Press a small amount of the oil where you want it, and keep the hand cream near the basin for after washing.
Is the cannabidiol in these cosmetics the same as the CBD in the oils taken by mouth?▼
The CBD Hand Cream box states that its CBD is produced by Cibdol AG in Switzerland, with Cibdol Netherlands bv named as the responsible company. What differs is the formulation. In a cosmetic, cannabidiol appears in the standardised ingredient names on the box beside its carrier: olive fruit oil in CBD Skin Oil, or a water-and-oil emulsion in the creams. These five are leave-on cosmetics, not products taken by mouth.
Why does the label give one milligram total for the whole tube?▼
Because a cosmetic label states what the container holds. A 50ml tube of Aczedol contains 100mg of CBD, the 75ml CBD Hand Cream contains 150mg of CBD, and the 10ml CBD Skin Oil bottle contains 200mg of CBD. How far a pack goes depends on the area covered and the thickness of the layer, so a single figure for one application would tell you very little.
How should I store these in a bathroom?▼
Aczedol, Soridol and Zemadol keep between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, somewhere dark and dry. CBD Skin Oil and CBD Hand Cream sit comfortably between 8 and 25 degrees Celsius. A shelf above a shower can swing outside those ranges, so a closed cupboard away from steam and direct light is the simpler place to keep all five.
What does the small open jar symbol with twelve months mean?▼
It is the period after opening: how long the formula is intended to be used once the pack has been opened and air has reached it. On CBD Skin Oil and CBD Hand Cream it is twelve months, counted from first opening rather than from the date of manufacture. Noting the month you opened it on the box is an easy way to keep track.
